Klagenfurt/Austria – Split/Croatia
Here we are again, from the sunny seaside of Split, Croatia. It’s the last October day but sunny and warm. Out of the 18 days we just had one single rainy one! So we didn’t even need our tent so far, just the sleeping bags. It’s the best way to sleep anyway, out there on a field or a meadow, counting the shooting stars and satelites before you fall asleep…
Split is a very nice place – a lady picked us up right from the street when we were looking for the tourist information centre She speaks some german, worked in Berlin some years ago. After shower, laundry and some seightseeing we want to move on to Dubrovnik and Tirana along the coast…

Hello there,
here some words in english for all our visitors which have some trouble to translate the german lines ;) First of all, Thank you very much for all the comments and e-mails with warm words and good wishes! Our bikes are doing very well and our mood couldn’t be better. We are enjoying everyday, every kilometer, if sunny or rainy, hilly or flat. It is just a wonderfull feeling to be ‚on tour‘ – again – and finally.
From Praha we went further south, crossed the border to Austria near Bad Leonfeld and had a stop in Mitterlaab, where Joachim Hager lives, a nice chap, who just returned in August from a 5-years journey around the world, also on a ’streetmachine‘. Crazy feeling to see his bike, transformed, after thousands of hard kliometers! He gave us some very helpful information about the bike and our further route. Thanks again also for the hospitality!
Alright, I hope the pictures with the short titles are helpful, even only in german. Our time here in this cafes/ internetplaces is very limited and the afternoon is almost over…
The next mountain range, the ‚Karawanken‘ and with them Slovenia are waiting for us!

Schön, dass das blog großen Anklang findet. Danke an alle, die uns auf diesem Weg begleiten. Um dem Drängen nachzukommen und heute das blog weiter zu füllen, haben wir auf die Nacht im Hostel verzichtet (nicht jedoch auf eine heiße Dusche), stattdessen am Wörthersee die Nacht unter einem umgedrehten Kahn verbracht und stecken das Geld ins Internet-Cafe. ;) […]

Die Räder rollen – Tschüß Berlin!
Also, jetzt wird’s ernst – oder lustig? Wir sitzen hier in Prag, die Sonne scheint, die Stimmung ist gut. Allerdings ist es nachts schon frostig, und wir sind froh, Handschuhe und Mütze dabeizuhaben. Gestern Nachmittag quartierten wir uns in einer netten Jugendherberge ein – Zeit für Stadtbummel, Organisatorisches und natürlich eine heiße Dusche. Heute Nachmittag geht’s weiter Richtung Österreich.
Vielen Dank an alle, die da waren, um uns zu verabschieden und in Gedanken mit dabei sind. Einen besonderen Dank an Ole für die Hilfe beim Erstellen dieses blogs und das tolle Titelfoto!

The wheels are rolling – Bye Berlin!
So, now it’s getting serious – or funny? We sit here in Prague, the sun is shining, the mood is good. However it is already frosty at night and we are glad to have with us gloves and hat. Yesterday afternoon we accommodated in a nice hostel – time for city walk, organization and, of course, a hot shower. This afternoon we continue towards Austria.
Thank you to all who were there to say good bye and whose thoughts are with us. A special thanks to Ole for assistance in creating this blog and the great header photo!
